It is so important to spend time abiding with God, not just once or twice a year, but often. Your assignment was to spend some time talking to God and thinking about what the ONE thing was that He wants you to work on. Maybe you need to smile more and whine less. Perhaps you need to start treating your sibling with more respect. As I told you, my abiding time showed me that God wants me to be content with my life and what I have. I struggle with that and often want more possessions (clothes, furniture, etc.) and I complain about why I don't have certain things in my life. But, I've learned I need to be content and focus on all of my blessings instead. It's a work in progress for me! Please comment what your abiding time with God revealed.
P.S. The verse in the picture is my confirmation verse (and my brother's and Grandfather's) and it is my favorite Bible verse.

i feel god has told me to content with what i have. i have many things to treasure but i feel god wants me to give some up and know god is always with me. my friends, my family and other close people will be their for me when i need them to help me ( unless of course their dead). god tells us to be happy with what we have and not to push for more we dont need. lots of people dont need stuff but they just get it because everbody else has it. that isgod tells us not to be: jealus. if we are jealus then we spend stuff on things that other people have and what we truly need. god is always here for us and provides us whatever we truly need like food, water, and clothes. when thigns go wrong never worry beacuse god is always here for us and again provides us with whatever we truly need.
